WASHINGTON — Anything that hops, burrows, buzzes, crawls or grazes near a nuclear weapons plant may be capable of setting off a Geiger counter. And at the Hanford nuclear reservation, one of the dirtiest of them all, its droppings alone might be enough to trigger alarms.

"A government contractor at Hanford, in south-central Washington State, just spent a week mapping radioactive rabbit feces with detectors mounted on a helicopter flying 50 feet over the desert scrub. An onboard computer used GPS technology to record each location so workers could return later to scoop up the droppings for disposal as low-level radioactive waste...."

Now there's an odd job... how does one list this occupation on the tax form?

That's a good job and an important one. There is less of it than before. It's in good containment and the safety measures are in place.

Less of it, probably because there are less rabbits now. That's the down side.

Nope. But for my money, here's the most ferocious rabbit in cinematic history: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XcxKIJTb3Hg

Maybe this is the reason why 1 in 4 women in Western Washington have breast cancer. In my group of 30 men and women, 4 have had mastectomies. It is an epidemic. I wonder where and how they dispose of radio active whatever, seen 50 feet above the earth????

Probably bury it. That's the preferred disposal method for radioactive matter.

Looks like that stimulas package Obama has been talking about has really taken effect.  Just look at the wide range of jobs it has created!  Radioactive Rabbit Pooper-Scooper Picker-Upper Person.  I wonder just how man pieces is allowed to be picked up at one time before the individual's doesimeter is set off and the day is done?

On the other hand, they could just put out poison and kill all the furry critters on the property.  But that would enrage PETA or some other sad organization more concerned with animal wealthfare than human welfare.  What a crazy world we live in!

By collecting and concentrating the radioactive materials, the bunnies are doing the world a favor.

Ahhhh, we've been doing these kinds of jobs pre-Obama out here. Clean up has been going on some 30 years +. I guess we should thank the people who made the nuclear bomb that blew up Hiroshima. Obama might have just been born when they started hunting for bunny poo at the Hanford reserve.

But nice segue into your personal political vendettas... not.
